Edward F. Haas, a native of New Orleans, is associate professor of history and director of the Graduate Program in Historical and Archival Administration at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. He is the author of DeLesseps S. Morrison and the Image of Reform: New Orleans Politics, 1946-1961, editor of Louisiana’s Legal Heritage and coeditor of Readings in Louisiana History and Louisiana’s Black Heritage.
