Carl A. Brasseaux received his
B.A. and M.A. from the University of Southwestern
Louisiana and holds a doctorate in North American
Studies from the University of Paris
(France). Well
known as a researcher, editor, and translator in the field of French colonial
and Acadian history, Dr. Brasseaux’s published works
include four books and more than thirty articles in scholarly journals and
collections. He is currently Assistant Director of the Center for Louisiana
Studies at the University of Southwestern
Louisiana.
