Louisiana Tech University possesses excellent resources for the study of U.S. foreign relations, especially for the period since 1945. The principal collection of the American Foreign Policy Center contains approximately 3,200 reels of microfilm and approximately 2,000 microfiches, representing public and private papers associated with the Roosevelt, Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon administrations. Plans call for expanding this collection significantly in coming years. Further information about the collection may be found at the website for the Special Collections, Manuscripts, and Archives division of Prescott Memorial Library. This collection is supplemented by the book, journal, and U.S. government documents holdings of Prescott Memorial Library. In addition to its research holdings, the American Foreign Policy Center sponsors research fellowships, periodic lectures and programs on world affairs.
